The blob:
A blob (binary large object) is a form of architecture. In Eindhoven you will find this blob, designed by Massimiliano Fuksas. It’s situated close to the former Philips factory. We intended to design a projection mapping as a tribute to the light bulb, invented and produced in this city.
The blob is a complex shape to project on. With the projection software we had to ‘map’ every triangle on the right position. Two large windows were blacked out.
‘Blob the bulb’ is story about the invention of the light bulb and also a small tribute to Frits Philips
